KAGOME Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "we") regards the appropriate use of, and protection of, personal information as our responsibility and the basis of our business activity.
We manage our stakeholders' personal information appropriately. We strive to protect personal information by implementing an appropriate and reasonable level of safety measures against illegal access, prevention of outflow, and more. In addition, in order to enhance the service, we may outsource a part of the management and operation of our business to a third party. In doing so, we also ensure the thorough management of these outsourcing partners so that leaks of personal information and unauthorized access will not occur.
We do not disclose personal information of stakeholders to third parties other than outsourcing parties without obtaining consent. However, when disclosure is requested by law or by a court of law, the police or other public organization, we may disclose personal information without your consent.
We have established and implemented a personal information protection standard (compliance program) so that our employees (including temporary staff) will recognize the importance of protecting personal information, and will properly use and protect personal information. Furthermore, we will maintain this system and continuously work to improve it.
We will designate a "personal information manager", clarify the role, and prepare the environment so that the manager may properly carry out activities related to the protection of personal information.
We will establish internal regulations on the protection of personal information, disclose clear policies on the handling of personal information, and will fully inform our staff about our exacting standards regarding leakage of personal information.
We implement security procedures such as information security measures to ensure the accuracy and safety of personal information, and take all measures to prevent the unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, leakage, etc. of personal information.
To further improve the protection of personal information, outsourcing will be reviewed and improved. When entering into a business outsourcing contract, we thoroughly examine the suitability of the partner, and consider how to best protect personal information within the contract.
We comply with laws and regulations applicable to the protection of personal information. Furthermore, we ensure that the personal information protection standards (compliance program) complies with the laws and regulations.
We educate officers and employees (including temporary staff) about the standards of personal information through our learning materials, and conduct training programs at least once a year for staff who handle this information.
We have prepared a system which allows investigation into whether or not the protection of personal information is properly implemented. We also conduct audits utilizing access logs in order to prevent or suppress, at an early stage, the leaking of personal information by employees.
